HotBed are returning every Wednesday bringing with them their fruity production, turning the day time venue into a tropical paradise. When it comes to the music these artists never fail to deliver, playing uplifting vocal house and pairing it with live musicians creating the perfect poolside party.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have seen these guys go from strength to strength – they have used winter to take the HotBed series to various parts of the world expanding the HotBed family so it comes as no surprise that 2019 is going to be their best year yet.<\/span><\/p>\n

From O Beach Ibiza\u2019s headquarters we\u2019ve decided it\u2019s about time we put HotBed on the hot seat. With it being their third year, the HotBed team of Dj\u2019s and musicians have become familiar faces around the beach club. \u00a0So we thought we would ask the guys a few fruity questions to give you more of an insight into the guys who make Wednesday\u2019s feel like the weekend!<\/span><\/p>\n

fruitest track at the moment got to be Nobody (Satta Dub Mix) – Mike City, Booker T, Satta.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your fave meal at O Beach?<\/b><\/p>\n

Defo the mini burger platter<\/span><\/p>\n

Who\u2019s your musical influences?<\/b><\/p>\n

DJ Spen is my favourite producer, but the people who influence me the most are the people closest to me like my little sister Ellie Cocks and also my mum was a massive musical influence.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s been your best O Beach moment so far?<\/b><\/p>\n

Sounds funny but when the music cut out because of the torrential rain…The atmosphere was mental! Lucky we had JWalks on the drums and Josh on the Sax because it kept the party alive!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite spot in ibiza to unwind?<\/b><\/p>\n

So many cool spots in Ibiza, I love the sea and to swim so probably to a beach, one of my favourites is Cala Comte.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you were a fruit what would it be and why?<\/b><\/p>\n

I would be a soursop, not really sure why just like the name ????????<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh that\u2019s a tough one as there\u2019s so many great tracks out right now. Todd Terry -Love To Love UUU is totally getting me in the mood for summer, that strawberries and bubbles kinda mood!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your fave meal at O Beach?<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m a simple girl that loves food so I would have to say the steak ciabatta with chips, seriously those chips are life!<\/span><\/p>\n

Who\u2019s<\/b>your musical influences?<\/b><\/p>\n

Todd Terry will always be a big influence, his tunes are timeless and always go down a treat with the crowd. Todd is god!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s been your best O Beach moment so far<\/b><\/p>\n

Its got to be the HotBed closing party, throughout last summer the team didn\u2019t get the chance to all play together and let their hair down until then. What a party with the most amazing team and crowd, nothing but love.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite spot in ibiza to unwind?<\/b><\/p>\n

I love Savannah, beautiful sunsets, great food and the chance to watch the world go by…. Perfect<\/span><\/p>\n

If you were a fruit what would it be and why?<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019d be a Fineapple \ud83d\ude09 See what I did there. Surely no need to explain why haha<\/span><\/p>\n

Bebe winans – Thank You (old tune but Danny Langan introduced this track to me last year and I can\u2019t get enough of it)<\/span><\/p>\n

By far…the sushi!<\/span><\/p>\n

Who\u2019s your musical influences?<\/b><\/p>\n

Many influences from all types of eras and genres from Alexander Oneil & Stevie Wonder as Singers to Todd Terry, Black Coffee and EZ as DJs. I love all kind of music as long as it has Soul and energy<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s been your best O Beach moment so far<\/b><\/p>\n

HotBed closing party 2018…The whole team was there and I\u2019m not scared to say it got emotional at the end haha!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite spot in ibiza to unwind?<\/b><\/p>\n

Although predictable, I have had some of the best chilled nights at Pikes and Caf\u00e9 Mambo.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you were a fruit what would it be and why?<\/b><\/p>\n

A sour lemon because having to answer this question is making me wince with cringe-e-ness (a new word I\u2019ve made up)<\/span><\/p>\n

Frankie knuckles, Kings of tomorrow, Purple disco machine, Mark funk, Re-Tide and many many more..<\/span><\/p>\n

Every single Wednesday\u2026 can\u2019t wait for this year!<\/span><\/p>\n

Cala Comte Beach, incredible for sunsets.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would be a passions fruit….clue is in the title<\/span><\/p>\n

Ohhh good question. I\u2019ve been playing Mighty Mouse – the spirit \u00a0ever since it came out about 6 months ago. It\u2019s got a super cool groove and an insane vocal near the<\/span>end of the track.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your fave meal at O Beach?<\/b><\/p>\n

I always tend to go the the chicken wrap, mainly because it\u2019s light and I like to leave a little room for a mojito or two \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/p>\n

Who\u2019s your musical influences?<\/b><\/p>\n

Michael Jackson will always be my number one.. but most my influences come from my mum and dads old vinyl collection.. people like Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie wonder. And special mention to Freddie Mercury he was the coolest full stop!<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s been your best O Beach moment so far<\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t have a single moment as every week we play is unbelievable . I\u2019m just super appreciative to play every week for a great team in Hotbed, they are like family now at one of Ibiza\u2019s best venues. I can\u2019t wait to get started again in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite spot in ibiza to unwind?<\/b><\/p>\n

I love the food and settings of Yemanja, if you haven\u2019t been to it check it out… tell them Lloyd sent you. They don\u2019t know who I am but if loads of people rock up saying Lloyd sent us, maybe when I next go I\u2019ll say I\u2019m Lloyd and get a free meal… <\/span><\/p>\n

If you were a fruit what would it be and why?<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019d go for strawberry, because the season for strawberries to be at their juiciest runs from May – September. That ties in perfectly with HotBed at O beach Ibiza… can\u2019t wait to see you guys there.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day it poured down and everyone was absolutely having it in the rain, that \u00a0was one to remember.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite spot in ibiza to unwind?<\/b><\/p>\n

Cala mastella for a beach day or chilling at cappuccino looking over at Ibiza town.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you were a fruit what would it be and why?<\/b><\/p>\n

I feel as though I\u2019m the fruit bowl holding all the other fruits in place.<\/span><\/p>\n
