we caught up with swerve in the run up to his kisstory set this tuesday to find out the ins and outs of his career, who his favourite celebrity interview is and how he got the name ‘swerve’ !<\/strong><\/h5>\n

How long have you been DJ’ing for and what made you<\/span> start?
\n<\/span><\/strong>Professionally i started 1999 but before that I was wrecking my parent’s music system. I was just obsessed with scratching.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n

What has been the highlight of your career?
\n<\/strong>It’s hard to pick one. I’ve got my dream job. Getting my first show on Kiss was massive. I remember someone saying to me “that’ll change your life”. He was right. I left my day job and went into DJing full time.\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
You’ve interviewed some of the biggest names in the music industry, who has been your\u00a0FAVORITE\u00a0and why ?
\n<\/span><\/strong>it has to be Jay Z for being so polite and humble. We had a joke about how he would make a great DJ!\u00a0Some celebrities lose their sense of humour\u00a0and\u00a0he hasn’t. Snoop was good too. I’d never met him before until he walked into the room. He’s so tall! very Softly spoken but he was great to talk to.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n

WHAT\u00b4S BEHIND YOUR NAME DJ SWERVE ?
\n<\/span><\/strong>IT’S A PAINFULLY LONG STORY BUT BASICALLY MATES KEPT TROLLING ME FOR “GETTING MY SWERVE ON” AT AN EVENT. THEY WERE BASICALLY JUST JEALOUS BUT IT KIND OF STUCK AND WORKED OUT TO BECOME MY NAME.<\/span><\/h6>\n
